Grupo Axe Capoeira organized the Fifth Anniversary Festival of Capoeira
5-days open seminar preceded the festival. It hosted leading masters of capoeira from Brazil:
Mestre Barrao - Brazil
Professor Barraozinho - Brazil, Canada
Professor Tigrao - Brazil, Canada
The seminar also hosted guests from Turkey, Canada, Poland, Belorussia and Russia.
Monitor Barril from Poland was also a guest at the seminar and festival.
The Festival was crowned by a show-program in Molodoy Theatre in Proreznaya Str.
All aspects of Brazilian culture on one stage:
- Brazilian dances
- The only Brazilian professional percussion orchestra in Ukraine
- Carnival Samba
- Capoeira
- Capoeirista evaluation
At the seminar Irina Boyko, instructor and the founder of Grupo Axe Capoeira in Ukriane was awarded her next corda. She is now - Monitora Irena. In Grupo axe Capoeira throughout the world there are only two people holding corda of a Monitor (VERDE) and one of them is now in Ukraine.
This year there was a full house in the theatre. All tickets were sold out a week before the performance. Many people, who did not manage to buy a ticket, were eager to watch the performance standing in the aisles.
Representatives of Canadian Embassy and UNO in Ukraine, heads of large judicial companies and businesses, mass media ("Б-52", "Men's Health", "Weekly.ua" magazines) and many others were present at the concert.
Sushi-restaurant “Sushi-mania” sponsored the Festival.
